The tickets for Wacken Wednesday are subject to the same rules as the tickets for Wacken Open Air. A Wacken Wednesday ticket 2021 can therefore either be rewritten to 2022 without any costs or returned for a payout.
All those who have already bought or exchanged a ticket for the upcoming W:O:A 2022 can order a ticket for Wacken Wednesday 2022 at the ticket center at any time. This costs 66,66€. But remember: If gone, then gone - the number of tickets is limited!
No! The contingent for Wacken Wednesday is limited, because we will play only one of the three main stages. It is expected that not all 75,000 Wacken Open Air 2022 ticket holders will be able to attend Wacken Wednesday.
Please contact your travel partner! We have provided all our partners with a contingent for the additional day.
The vast majority of tickets for Wacken Open Air 2022 were originally ordered for the cancelled Wacken Open Air 2020, the ticket price of these tickets is therefore aligned with the performance scope of the planned Wacken Open Air 2020.
The additional band fees and the additional costs for staff, infrastructure and co. at Wacken Wednesday are not covered by this planning from summer 2019. An implementation without additional costs for the visitor would therefore only be possible through savings in the rest of the program and service.
However, since the additional day is supposed to be more of a supplement, we decided on an additional ticket.
Wacken Wednesday is an additional offer and limited to the infield of the Wacken Open Air. This has never been played on Wednesday in the past.
All other stages will be played on Wednesday as usual, because of the Wacken Wedneday no band will play less or shorter - but if you want, you will get even more.
The program for the remaining stages on Wednesday is currently still being booked and finalized. Therefore, we cannot make any statements about this at the moment.
Unfortunately, this often-heard wish has not been realizable so far. As organizers, we also have to deal with the wishes, needs and rights of local residents, communities and authorities, and these are often diametrically opposed to those of a festival visitor.
However, in recent years, together with you, we have been able to break down more and more inhibitions and fears. One result of these efforts is the permission to play the main stages on Wednesdays.
No, this is a one-time thing for now.
As with any innovation, we will look at this one critically and carefully evaluate all feedback from visitors, residents, authorities and bands. Only then will a decision be made about a possible repetition. Currently we are planning Wacken Wednesday as a once in a lifetime event.
